FAQ

Will there be an assistant or second shooter?

That's a fantastic question! First, most second shooters are reserved for weddings; and I really only use an assistant when I can.

I technically have the ability to complete every session by myself, but prefer to have an assistant as often as possible to ensure a smooth and easy experience.

Although I prefer to have an assistant, I don't always have one. Good thing I'm great at what I do!

Can I extend the session on the day of?

My goal is to provide the best service and experience possible.

If my schedule allows for it, I would be open to the possibility of extending the session with further negotiations, but this is something I cannot guarantee.

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot with a Sony A7S II and my favorite 85mm lens.

I love to shoot with flash as much as possible so I control the light no matter where I am!

Do you shoot in a studio?

My home is my studio, and at this time I do not have a private studio.

I have shot portraits wherever my clients have needed me before, and it has worked well so far!

Does a contract need to be signed?

Yes. The contract ensures that we are all on the same page in terms of date of production, post-production, delivery, payment, and responsibilities of everyone involved.

Services will not be performed until a contact is signed.

How can I get the copyright for the pictures?

Great question! I include a copyright release in all my contracts, which means you have the ability to print and share your images as much as you want!

As the photographer, I reserve the copyright to any and all images that I capture.

How are images delievered?

Images are delivered electronically. You will receive a link when they are complete where you can download individual images or the entire album.

Will I also receive the unedited photos?

There is a lot of time, patience, training, and skill that goes into the entire photography process. Although you will be free to share finalized images, I do not sell unedited photos for viewing or editing by others.

Another way to think about it is like this: you wouldn't go to a surgeon and perform surgery on yourself using their tools. Trust me, you're in good hands and I intend to give you the best experience I can.

Do you shoot weddings?

After I graduated college, I worked for a wedding photography/videography LLC for 2 or 3 years as a videographer. Although I loved creating the videos for newlyweds, and still have the ability to do so, I know where my niche is in the photo/video community.

Long story short, I do not shoot weddings anymore unless there's an emergency; but I can refer you to some awesome photographers who can deliver exactly what you're looking for!
